We turn your plants' live data into clear, simple actions — a 5-sensor kit plus an AI assistant that tells you exactly what to do, before damage shows.
Gnome combines two integrated components. The value comes from how they work together — not from either alone.
Continuously tracks soil moisture, ambient light, temperature, humidity, and root-zone conditions. Data flows through a central hub to the app.
Ask your plants anything. The AI combines live sensor data, plant-specific knowledge, local weather, and your goals into plain-language guidance.
Monitor every plant in one place. Alerts are set automatically and care adjustments are suggested proactively.
Track care history and seasonal patterns over time. Guidance becomes more accurate the longer you use it.
Map your space visually. Add plants, arrange sensor zones, and see everything in one view — from three windowsill pots to a full patio.
As Gnome learns from conditions, decisions, and outcomes across our user base, recommendations get sharper — and harder to replicate.
Soil moisture, light, temperature, and humidity tracked continuously from every plant.
Readings flow into the Gnome platform alongside each plant's care profile and history.
Live data meets plant-specific knowledge, local seasonality, and your stated goals.
Conversational answers and next steps for each plant. No raw numbers, no guesswork.
Gnome doesn't just show raw readings. It interprets what's happening with each plant in context and tells you exactly what to do.
The bundled experience delivers the most value. Every path leads to smarter plants.
We built the MVP entirely through founder effort, without outside capital. Here's the full picture of what's done and what's next.
Fully functioning wired sensor stack, hub, and app. All 5 sensors operational, AI assistant active.
52-person survey across WA, CA, and the East Coast. 42% cite lack of knowledge; 75% willing to pay.
Pilot-ready wireless hardware that makes the product practical for everyday home use.
Full parity build targeting release alongside the sensor launch.
Controlled Seattle pilot to validate retention, pricing, and real-world plant outcomes.
Full consumer launch with sensor kits, subscription plans, and local retail partnerships.
Get early access and shape the product before we launch publicly.
Gnome started with five students, a shared frustration with dead plants, and a belief that technology should make gardening effortless — not more complicated. We ran customer discovery across gardening stores, clubs, and community spaces in Seattle, deliberately not pitching, just listening.
"Every garden deserves a Gnome looking out for it."
The answer was consistent: the gap isn't a lack of information — it's the inability to turn plant conditions into clear decisions in real time. So we built the tools to listen, translate, and act.
We're based in Seattle. The team covers hardware, backend infrastructure, AI, frontend engineering, and business strategy entirely in-house. We built the MVP without outside capital, and we're now preparing a 20-household pilot to validate it with real gardens.
